Goku is a heretic whose unreleased powers are said to rival those of Heaven. Because of this, he was captured, shackled, and brought before the Merciful Goddess. There he met her nephew, Konzen Douji, a lower deity who did mostly paperwork. At first glance, Goku was enthralled by his hair, which he said was like the sun. Unfortunately, he accidentally tugged several strands out and provoked Konzen's anger, which amused the Merciful Goddess and she put Goku under his care.
